Small French Landscape Painting by Raoul Eteve c.1938

Attractive little landscape painting in oil on canvas by the French Artist Felix Raoul Eteve (1902-1967) c.1938. Springtime scene of a tree in blossom beside a river or pond overlooked by a pretty little summer house, with wooded hills and castle ruins in the backround. Confidently painted in a classic French Impressionist style in thick oils. Clearly signed in the lower left corner. Presented as found, unframed on the original stretcher. With a label to the rear recording various prizes won by Eteve up to 1938.
