Large Tapestry Wall Hanging of The Lady & The Unicorn

Large medieval style tapestry wall hanging after one of the celebrated 15th century series of Flemish tapestries known as The Lady & the Unicorn. Representing taste, this panel shows the lady taking a sweetmeat from a dish held by a kneeling maid whilst a parrot perches on her other hand. The scene is flanked by the lion and unicorn holding crescent standards. Against a mille-fleurs background populated with various birds and animals. Some damage along the top edge. Generally good condition and even colour.
