Small Welsh Oak Potboard Dresser c.1800
Delightful little early 19th.c. cottage potboard Welsh dresser, form Carmarthenshire c.1800. Unusual diminutive proportions, just 63" wide and 70" tall. Original plate rack with two shelves an unusually central upright and 28 handmade iron hooks. Base with a single plank top featuring a raised bead to allow small plates to stand below the bottom shelf. Over three drawers with diamond shaped bone escutcheons and period brass handles and a straight apron below. Raised on three turned front legs and square rear stiles over an open potboard display shelf with the original boards and an applied moulding below. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
