Small Wardrobe with Exotic Lacquerwork Decoration c.1890

Small late 19th.c. pine wardrobe with fabulous lacquerwork decoration c.1890. Single door wardobe with original arch top and bevelled mirror plate to the outside, and fitted with three adjustable shelves inside (internal depth 12"), over a single drawer in the base. In heavy and well figured piranha pine. Decorated on the front and both sides with stunning original polychrome lacquerwork featuring beautifully observed birds, butterflies and exotic flora. Moulded cornice and unusual turned drawer knobs. Minor tarnish to the mirror, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
