Slim Breakfront Mahogany Sideboard c.1870

Smart mid 19th.c. mahogany breakfront sideboard or cabinet c.1870. Unusually shallow dimensions, just 16½" front to back. Well figured mahogany veneered top with a crossbanded edge and graduated mouldings. Over four cupboard doors, fitted with shelves inside. 13" internal depth to the deeper two door centre cupboard. Decorative front with symmetrically arranged flame mahogany door panels within raised mouldings with carved detail to the top and at the bottom corners. Crisp carved corbels over plain pilasters to the outer edge of each of the doors. Mahogany veneered sides and raised on a square plinth. Some minor marks and wear to the top, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
