Marble Top Console Table c.1860
Superb mid 19th.c. mahogany and marble top console table c.1860. Original black marble top featuring numerous tiny fossils embedded within and a moulded edge. On a flame mahogany veneered base with a long oak lined drawer hidden in the frieze at the front. Curving front supports with turned roundels at the tops. Over beautifully carved claw feet with scrolling acanthus detail, raised on a slim cupid's bow shaped plinth, veneered to match. With an old break across the marble (as shown). Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
