Six Mahogany & Leather Dining Chairs

Superb set of six George III style mahogany dining chairs. Fine quality reproduction featuring shapely backrests with unusual spindles inlaid with satinwood crossbanding and boxwood stringing and with decorative carved terminals top and bottom. Over good sized seats (height 18½"), with loose webbed seat pads covered in oxblood red leather, serpentine fronts and moulded edges to the frame. Raised on square tapering legs joined with H stretchers. The rear stiles curving slightly backwards for stability and also with a joining stretcher between. Stamped with the initials CW on the frame. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
