Superb set of eight George II style walnut dining chairs c.1890. Six chairs plus a pair of larger matching carvers. High backs with wonderful carved tops over canework panels within moulded frames, either side of a crisply carved centre splat. Shapely arms to the carvers with scrolling terminals and supports. Large sprung seats over unusually deep carved aprons. Raised on front legs with large claw feet, joined with shaped and moulded X stretchers to the turned and block rear legs.
