Gothic Revival Carved & Inlaid Rosewood Bookcase c.1890

Fine quality little late 19th.c. Gothic Revival rosewood bookcase c.1890. Two door bookcase with glazed upper panels and blind storage below, fitted inside with four adjustable shelves. Unusual design with extensive Gothic detail. Moulded cornice over a frieze of pointed arches with a small brass mount within each arch. Fine decorative pierced brass strap hinges and beautiful marquetry door panels featuring a design of armour and weapons inlaid in contrasting timbers. Flanked with architectural column pilasters to each side descending to unusual carved hoof feet. Oak lined interior, shelves and back panel. Excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
