Red Chinoiserie Lacquered Display Cabinet c.1920

Good looking Georgian style chinoiserie display cabinet c.1920. Display top with glazed arched-top doors and sides, fitted inside with two glass shelves in line with the glazing bars (internal depth 10½"). Over five small drawers in the base. Unusual deep blood red lacquered ground with extensive hand painted gold decorative detail across the front and sides. Oriental landscaped in raised lacquerwork with painted detail to the drawer fronts and continued on the sides of the base. Original brass handles. Double arch moulded cornice and a shaped apron below the drawers. Raised on four slim cabriole legs with pad feet and further painted detail. Minor wear to the lacquerwork, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
