Portico Clock & Garniture c.1905
Beautiful portico mantle clock by Samuel Marti of Paris with matching garnitures c.1905. Eight day movement by Marti striking the hours (and half hour) on a bell. 4" diameter enamelled face with pierced and gilded fingers, painted decoration and a chased brass bezel. With a sunburst pendulum below. Within a Neo-Classical marble portico case, glazed on all four sides, topped with a finely cast lion and raised on Corinthian columns with brass mounts to the capitals and plinths. Highly figured sienna marble with shaped and moulded edges to the top and base. Raised on turned brass feet. Sold with the original matching urn shaped garnitures, also with extensive brass mounts, the shape of the bases and feet matching those of the clock. Excellent working condition, key supplied.
