Pair of Tambour Fronted Filing Cabinets c.1900

Excellent quality pair of early 20th.c. tambour fronted filing cabinets, c.1900. Twin tambour fronts enclose a set of (removable) shelves, proving highly versatile for storage or filing, especially in a smaller space where opening a door or pulling out a drawer would be problematic. Dragooned top frieze over a pair of fluted turned columns to the front corners, all raised on a plinth base, on turned feet. All in an attractive honey colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and presented in excellent condition, with smooth operation of the tambours. Original brasswork pulls and escutcheons, with keys supplied. (Internal shelf space is 6" high, 14½" wide, 11½" deep).
