Pair of Primitive Stools c.1850
Delightful pair of mid 19th.c. primitive little tripod stools c.1850. 2" thick tops in elm and sycamore raised on tripod legs. Note the pole lathe turned ash legs on one stool with it's distinctive rippled surface, whilst the legs on the other stool have been shaped with a draw knife. The extra hole in the elm top stool may well have been for a cobbler's last. Excellent condition, solid and sturdy with good colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
