Pair of 1969 Prince of Wales Investiture Chairs.
A rare pair of the famous red chairs produced for the investiture ceremony of the Prince of Wales at Caernarfon castle on July 1st 1969. Striking mid-century modern design, in vermillion stained beech and bent plywood, the gilded three feathers motif is cleverly impressed onto the back rest to prevent wear to the gilding. Date stamp on the underside.
Presented as found with obvious marks and damage to the upholstery and some wear and restaining to the left hand arm of one chair.
