Gothic Oak Stool c.1880.

Unusual little late 19th.c. Gothic revival oak stool with needlework top c.1880. Sprung seat pad with original needle point cover featuring a pretty design of roses within a border of swagged fabric. On a superb shapely oak base with 1½” thick ends with trefoil cutaways and applied mouldings. Shaped apron front and rear and a pierced stretcher fixed with a tusk and tenon joint. Presented as found in very good original condition.
