Marquetry Inlaid Marble Top Sideboard c.1920

Impressive marble top sideboard attributed to the the Paris maker Georges Guerin c.1910. White marble top with grey figuring, breakfronted and with rounded ends. Over three drawers and a large central cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 16"), flanked with smaller cupboards to each side. Highly figured burr elm veneers laid in striking symmetrical pattern across the front and sides. With unusual neo-Classical decoration to the front featuring marble column pilasters with gilded mounts top and bottom. Marquetry inlaid vase detail to centre door, the side doors featuring hanging fruit bowls and mother of pearl garlands. Original gilded handles, floral mounts and mouldings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
