Marquetry Inlaid Console Table c.1880

Superb quality late 19th.c. marquetry inlaid console table c.1880. Unusually figured ambergris coloured marble top. On a flame mahogany veneered base with a fine marquetry work inlaid frieze to the front and sides. Curving front legs with beautifully inlaid capitals and carved claw feet. Inlaid stringing to all four legs and continued on the upper portion of the stepped plinth base. Some small chips to the back edge of the marble and repairs to the veneers on the sides of the base. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
