Mahogany Pedestal Desk c.1960

Smart Georgian style mahogany pedestal desk c.1960. 47" x 25½" top with a red leather skiver set within a crossbanded and inlaid edge over three drawers. Raised on twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated height. Symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers to the drawer fronts (on solid mahogany groundwork) with inlaid stringing to the edges and decorative brass handles with pierced back plates. Matched veneers on the back of the pedestals, shaped apron to all four sides and raised on short swept legs front and rear. Mahogany drawer linings. Some old watermarks to the leather, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
