Liberty Style Arts & Crafts Dresser c.1905

Very attractive little Arts & Crafts oak dresser or mirror back sideboard c.1905. Very much in the manner of Liberty & Co, the design is often attributed to the London makers Harris Lebus. Mirror back with an unusually broad moulded cornice, inlaid panels over small shelves raised on brackets pierced with triple tulip detail. Deep sideboard base with a cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 20") and two drawers over an open shelf. Original copper handles and long strap hinges. A repeat of the pierced detail to the brackets supporting the top. Arched apron to the open shelf repeated at the sides. Raised on turned and tapering stiles with pad feet. Good quality timber, solid oak used throughout and quarter sawn to reveal the medullary rays on the top, drawer fronts and door. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
