Mahogany Dwarf Linen Press c.1860

Very useful mid 19th.c. mahogany linen press c.1860. Two door cupboard opening to reveal three large sliding shelves (internal depth 16½”) for linen, clothes or shoes perhaps, over a single large drawer in the base. Well figured mahogany veneers across the top, front and plinth. Crossbanded edge to the top, raised mouldings around the door panels, original turned mahogany drawer knobs, locks and latches. Paper label for the makers and retailers Balls, Forman & Co of Oxford Street on one of the slides. Solid mahogany drawer linings and sides. Some old marks to the exterior, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
