Low Walnut Box Seat c.1900

Late 19th.c. carved walnut box seat c.1900. Ideal as a hall seat with storage or at the end of a bed perhaps. Flat top with a carved moulded edge, the centre section hinged to reveal useful storage inside. Renaissance revival carving to the front panel featuring a central cartouche flanked with grotesque winged beasts. Further carving to the side panels. Deep carved base moulding and scroll carved feet. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
