Louis XV Style Marquetry Inlaid Side Cabinet c.1930

Beautiful little French Louis XV style marquetry inlaid side cabinet c.1930. Useful small size, just 23" wide. Original and well figured marble top with projecting front corners. Over a slim drawer and a cupboard fitted with a single glass shelf inside (internal depth 10"). Superb marquetry inlaid panel to the door featuring a Classical style dolphin adorned with foliage. With inlaid borders and a burr walnut veneered surround, also repeated at the sides of the cabinet. Shaped and canted front corners featuring exceptional brass mounts extending down to claw feet which are also repeated at the rear. Brass laurel wreath handles. Mahogany drawer linings. Minor wear to the finish on the sides and damage to the veneers at the back of the cabinet. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
