Large Mahogany & Marble Top Commode c.1860

Large mid 19th.c. French mahogany and marble top chest of drawers or commode c.1860. Original and highly figured grey marble top with a moulded edge over five long drawers. An exceptional example of the form with beautiful flame mahognay veneers laid in a repeating pattern across the front and sides and extravagantly curving frieze and plinth. Raised on the original shaped bracket front feet. Solid oak drawer linings, and dividers to the top drawer. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
