Large Kitchen Dresser or Sideboard c.1860

Superb large mid 19th.c mahogany kitchen dresser or sideboard c.1860. Serpentine shaped solid mahogany top with an applied moulding. Over three drawers with shaped drawer fronts and four flat fronted drawers. Note how the lower drawers extend into the plinth for extra internal height. Highly figured flame mahogany veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern across the drawer fronts. With original large glass knobs. Large carved corbels at the bases of the uprights flanking the drawers. Solid mahogany sides, flame mahogany veneered at the base. Raised on the original tall turned feet. Some fading to the front edge of the top. Otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
