Large Chinoiserie Drinks Cabinet c.1960

Large mid 20th.c. Chinoiserie style drinks cabinet c.1960. Two door cupboard with a walnut and mirror lined interior with two slim glass shelves and three small drawers in the base. Superb decorative exterior with an oriental scene of figures in a landscape across the door fronts in raised lacquerwork and gold paint against an ebonised ground. Additional lacquerwork panels to both sides featuring exotic birds and flora. Hand painted surround in gold against a dark burgundy background. Note also the lovely hand painted flowers on the inside of both doors. Raised on an elaborate carved and gilded base with a deep pierced apron to the front and sides and large cabriole legs. Over an open display shelf, also featuring Chinoiserie decoration, with a shaped and moulded edge and bracket feet. Some tarnish to the mirror on the the right hand side of the interior, otherwise very good condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
