Large Bijouterie Display Table c.1910

Unusually large walnut and gilt bijouterie or display top table c.1910. Slim display top (internal height 9cm) with a glazed top, front, and sides, lockable hinged lid and pale gray lining fabric to the base. Moulded walnut frame with carved and gilded detail to the corners and the lower edge. Raised on turned, tapering and fluted legs with further carved and gilded detail and turned feet. Joined with spectacular curving stretchers with gilded bead moulded edges and a lovely carved and gilded laurel leaf boss at the centre. Identical design front and rear. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
