Georgian Mahogany Longcase Clock by Harrison of Liverpool c.1790.
Fine quality Georgian mahogany longcase clock by Thomas Harrison of Liverpool c.1790. 8 day movement striking the hours on a bell. Brass face with a painted rolling moon, separate silvered chapter ring and seconds dial, finely chased dial centre and crisply cast spandrels. The case is of particularly good quality with a swan neck pediment and fluted columns to the hood, over blind fretwork and a shaped door in flame mahogany, flanked with fluted quarter columns. Crisp ogee mouldings and a base panel with highly figured book-leaf veneers, canted corners and shaped bracket feet. Excellent condition, the case has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops. The works have been cleaned and overhauled and are sold with a 12 month guarantee. Key and winder supplied.
