Georgian Mahogany Wash Stand c.1800
Delightful George III mahogany gent's wash stand dressing table c.1800. Well figured solid mahogany top with ebony strung edges, opens to reveal a superb fitted interior. Folding mirror with original plate set within a slim crossbanded frame, surrounded by various small compartments with loose lids with lovely little turned bone knobs. Two useful drawers in the cabinet below plus a third narrow drawer fitted inside for three bottles or jars of graduated depth. Ebony inlays to the drawer fronts and later brass handles. Raised on slim turned legs front and rear. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. A couple of old blemishes to the polish on the top, otherwise excellent original colour and very good condition.
