Great War Era Military Portrait in Oil on Canvas c.1918

Large full length First World War era portrait of a gentleman in Belgian military uniform c.1918. A confident looking fellow with a moustache, standing in rather a casual pose with one hand in his pocket and holding a cigar in the other hand, against a wooded landscape background. The medals on his chest appear to be the Belgian Croix de Guerre and the Order of Leopold both presented for bravery in service during the Great War. Minor damage to the canvas toward the left hand edge. Generally very good condition, presented unframed on a simple wooden stretcher.
