French Marble Top Bombe Commode c.1930

Louis XV style French marble top bombe commode or chest of drawers c.1930. Inch thick pale pink and yellow marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge and projecting front corners. Over a bombe shaped chest with two large drawers. Inlaid floral marquetry decoration to the front and sides laid into symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers with crossbanded rosewood borders. Unusual brass handles, brass and escutcheon plates and long brass mounts to the front corners extending all the way to the feet. With another mount at the centre of the shaped apron to the bottom drawer. Oak drawer linings and back panel. Some minor wear and repairs, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
