Small Art Deco Commode c.1930

Smart little French Art Deco marble top commode c.1930. Useful small size, just 37" wide. Original and unusual polychrome marble top with rounded corners and a moulded edge over three long drawers. Superb decorative front veneered in beautifully figured burr elm with crossbanding and inlaid stringing in tulip, ebony and box woods. Note the sunburst parquetry detail in the upper corners of the main panel. Original gilded brass handles and escutcheons and large mounts to the front corners. Matching veneers and inlays to the sides. Raised on turned and tapering legs with brass mounts to the feet front and rear. Solid oak drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
