Four Fruitwood Country Chippendale Dining Chairs c.1800

Delightful set of four Georgian fruitwood (probably cherry) dining chairs c.1800. A vernacular version of the fashionable Chippendale chairs of the period with shaped crest rails and particularly attractive pierced and carved back splats. Loose seat pads (height 18″) over tapering legs joined with H stretchers, plus a rear stretcher for extra strength. Excellent colour and condition with clean covers.
