Mahogany & Marble Top Wash Stand c.1860

Mid 19th.c. mahogany and marble top washstand or dressing table c.1860. White marble top with grey veins (height 34") with an attractively shaped slim mahogany gallery to the sides and rear. Over two small oak lined drawers with symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers to the drawer fronts and the frieze above. Raised on turned legs front and rear, joined with a useful stretcher shelf with a concave front edge to the sable can be sat or stool at easily. Some surface wear and fading, particularly to the left hand side. Otherwise good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
