Faux Bamboo Dumb Waiter c.1880

Rare late 19th.c. faux bamboo dumb waiter or what-not c.1880. Ideal in a bathroom perhaps or filled with house plants. Four shelves on a beechwood frame turned and carved to resemble bamboo. Upper shelf with original woven grass surface, the three lower shelves veneered in walnut. Bamboo style decoration continues on the shelf edges front and rear and on the joined spindles which form the sides. Turned finials and outswept front feet. Small patched repair to the surface of the top shel. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
