Chinese Carved Rosewood Urn Stand c.1900

Chinese rosewood and marble top urnstand or low side table c.1900. Top features 10½" minimum diameter octofoil marble insert within a rosewood surround with bead carved edge. Over a crisply carved and pierced frieze of leaves and fruit. The carving continues down the legs which are joined with crossed stretchers cared with bamboo leaves. Old damage to a portion of the wood at the edge of the marble insert. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
