Cherrywood Dresser Base c.1860

Useful mid 19th.c. French cherrywood dresser base c.1860. Solid two plank top with rounded edges over two drawers (with a lock at the centre) and a large two door cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 20"). Simple design free of any applied decoration, note how the grain of the timbers used in the door panels is arranged to create a symmetrical pattern. Turned drawer knobs, moulded inner edges to the doors. Original locks and keys for both the drawers and cupboard. Lovely pale honey coloured timber. Some old marks to the top, otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
