Cherry Kitchen Work Table c.1840

Superb mid 19th.c. French cherry wood dairy or kitchen table c.1840. Four plank top in well figured honey coloured timbers. Over one short and two long drawers of useful large size with original brass handles and thick chestnut drawer linings. 22" long boards sliding from each end to provide extra table space if required. Panelled sides and rear set within a moulded surround and (unusually) polished all round. Chamfered edges to the frame and stiles with shaped detail to the chamfer stops. Repairs to the top and a later sliding board to the right hand end. Excellent condition and superb original colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
