Carved Oak Box Seat c.1890

Large late 19th.c. oak coffer or box seat c.1890. Ideal at the end of a bed or below a window perhaps. Flat (rather than panelled) top with a carved moulded edge, lifts to reveal useful storage inside. Three good carved panels to the front (possibly repurposed from an earlier piece) with a large flower motif at the centre. Between carved mullions and with a deep moulding around the base. Lozenge moulded side panels and four large turned bun feet with an apron between. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
