Biedermeier Mahogany Cupboard c.1830
Good looking and very useful mahogany cupboard or side cabinet c.1830. Black marble top with tiny white fossils embedded in the stone. Single drawer at the top, over two cupboards, each with two doors and fitted with a single shelf inside (depth 13½"). Highly figured flame mahogany veneers arranged to form a striking symmetrical pattern across the drawer and door fronts. Crossbanded and moulded surround and turned wooden escutcheons. Walnut veneered sides. Raised on a slim moulded plinth veneered to match. Some minor wear and repairs, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
