Art Nouveau Oak Sideboard c.1900

Superb Art Nouveau oak sideboard c.1900. Raised mirror back with two small shelves over the original black marble top with white veins, serpentine front and moulded edges. Base with three drawers and a central cupboard flanked with open display shelves on both sides. Beautiful organic inspired Art Nouveau design, note the curving plant-like lines of the front stiles (the marble notched to allow them to flow in a continuous line) and the shapes of the mirror, shelves and top rail. The plant theme continues in the carved detail on the top corners and smaller drawer fronts and on the lovely original gilded handles. Highly figured burr elm veneered panels, laid onto oak groundwork. Raised on a serpentine plinth with deep moulded edge and shaped feet below. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
Separates into top, marble and base for delivery.
