Marquetry Inlaid Art Deco Sideboard c.1930
Unusual Art Deco marble top sideboard with marquetry inlays c.1930. Inch thick inverted breakfront marble top with canted corners. Over a single drawer to the centre and a three door cupboard fitted with a single long shelf inside (internal depth 17"). Beautifully figured and symmetrically arranged burr elm veneers across the front and sides with contrasting crossbanded edges. Stylish Art Deco Neo-Classical marquetry inlays of fruit to the centre door with mother of pearl details, and repeated as short friezes across the tops of the side doors. Note also the shaped and inlaid detail to the bottom edges of the side doors. Raised on tapering reeded legs front and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied (note the fruit on the grips of the two original keys).
