18th.c. Oak Coffer c.1780.

Late 18th.c. oak coffer c.1780. Flat (rather than panelled) top over a good sized chest with a small compartment to the right hand side, the lid of which works as a stay for the chest lid when open. Decorative front with carved zig zag detail to the rails, mullions and stiles, three panels with applied mouldings and unusual shaped and carved brackets where the stiles meet the bottom rail. Oak panelled sides and rear, oak floor boards. Original hoop hinges. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Working lock, key supplied.
