18th.c. Oak Chest of Drawers c.1760
18th.c oak chest of drawers c.1760. Constructed in two pieces (typical of the form), with four long drawers. Two plank top with an applied moulded edge. Moulded edges to the drawer fronts, a cushion or block front to the larger second drawer in the top section, brass drop handles and decorative pierced brass escutcheons. Moulded trim between the drawers and around the bottom edge of both sections. Oak drawer linings, note the drawer bases running front to back and the grooved sides to receive the drawer runners, both typical of 18th.c. cabinet making. Oak panelled sides and rear. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
