King Size Mahogany Half Tester Double Bed c.1860

Spectacular mid 19th.c. mahogany half tester double bed c.1860. To take a 60″ x 78″ king size bed base and mattress (not included but these can be supplied if required). Moulded half tester canopy with turned droppers and side rails over a six feet tall padded and upholstered headboard. Shaped foot board with flame mahogany veneers, raised mouldings and top rail. Flanked with a fine pair of heavy turned finials and raised on turned bun feet. Sturdy pine side rails, coloured to match and double bolted at both the head and foot. Retaining the original wooden castors. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops, the canopy and headboard have been freshly upholstered in a soft grey chenille. Disassembles for delivery.
