Oval Library Drum Table c.1860
Very handsome mid 19th.c. English rosewood library drum table c.1860. 66" x 50" table top featuring a green leather work surface with gold tooling, set within a rosewood veneered border with a crossbanded edge. Over four good sized and lockable drawers at the quarter points, alternating with matching panels. Thumb moulding around the bottom edge, knee height 24". On a hexagonal tapering column with crisp mouldings around the base over a tricorn plinth raised on carved feet with brass castors below. Some repairs to the veneers on the drawer fronts, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the drawers.
