Tall Mahogany Bookcase by Garnett & Sons c.1850
Fine quality mid 19th.c mahogany bookcase by Garnett & Sons of Warrington c.1850. Standing eight feet tall, with a glazed bookcase top with four adjustable shelves (depth 9") over a two door cupboard base with a single shelf inside (depth 12") and a single drawer in the waist. Beautifully figured mahogany veneers across the piece. Flared cornice over arched door panels top and bottom with raised mouldings and carved spandrels, flanked with turned and fluted corbels. Unusual turned and fluted drawer handles. Maker's stamp and serial number on the base. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Original locks and latches, key supplied.
