Georgian Mahogany Chest of Drawers c.1800

George III mahogany chest of drawers c.1800. Solid mahogany top with an applied edge moulding. Over two short drawers and three long drawers of graduated height. Well figured mahogany veneered drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and period brass swan neck handles. With a dummy brushing slide above the drawers and large brass carry handles at the sides. Moulded trim around the base and raised on bracket feet. Solid mahogany sides and oak drawer linings. Some minor wear, a couple of replacement backplates to the bottom drawer and a brazed repair to the carry handle at the left hand side. Generally good condition and particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
