Large Persian Carpet c.1960

Large vintage Persian tribal rug c.1960. Measuring over 11 feet long by 8 feet wide. Traditional Turkmen design featuring repeated Guls, a symbol specific to a particular tribal community, surrounded by multiple geometric borders. In rusty orange colours and black. Hand knotted with a dense weave and short pile with short tassel ends. Good condition with only minor wear.
