Small Empire Style Chest of Drawers c.1930

Good quality little French Empire style mahogany chest of drawers c.1930. Useful small size, just 35½" wide. White marble top over four drawers. With unusual Empire style Egyptian revival brass mounts to the pilasters flanking the drawers. Further mounts to the top drawer, lions mask handles to the three lower drawers and decorative escutcheons featuring swans, emblem of the Empress Josephine. Raised on short tapering front legs with brass paw feet. Solid mahogany drawer fronts and carcass, hardwood drawer linings and oak back. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
