Mahogany & Marble Top Commode c.1860
Handsome mid 19th.c. French mahogany and marble top commode or chest of drawers c.1860. Well figured grey marble top with rounded corners and a moulded edge over a chest of four long drawers plus an extra drawer hidden in the plinth. Flame mahogany veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the front of the chest. Shallow top drawer with a shaped front continued on the sides of the cabinet and internal dividers. The three deeper drawers set within a moulded surround, each with a turned escutcheon. Sides veneered to match and raised on a moulded plinth with a slim drawer within. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
